An Account region is the specific type of account or product you choose when buying the game, based on your geographic location. Sometimes this is also referred to as region lock.
For WildStar, on the NCSOFT website user and game accounts are divided into regions. In WildStar each player region gets its own set of realms, and you must buy the correct game version for your geographic region to play on those realms.
